Training Days (TARGET)

Training closure days are one half day a month and take place on  Wednesday afternoons. This time is used for Audits, Research, Guidelines, Education, and Training.

The aim of TARGET is to provide a co-ordinated approach to the delivery of continued professional development for primary care staff and GP’s.

This provides protected learning time for GP’s and Practice employed staff across the whole district.

TARGET event topics are chosen following a consultation with all local primary care clinicians, nursing staff, and Practice Managers across the district.

The surgery will be closed from 12pm on the following dates in 2026:

  • Wednesday 14th January
  • Wednesday 11th February
  • Wednesday 11th March
  • Wednesday 15th April
  • Wednesday 13th May
  • Wednesday 17th June
  • Wednesday 15th July
  • Wednesday 16th September
  • Wednesday 14th October
  • Wednesday 11th November
